TagViz is a system designed to display Three-Dimensional dive data.
The next generation dive tags use sensitive accelerometers to detect small inertial changes.
From this data three-dimensional dive paths can be reconstructed.
The data points are color-coded to show speed or stroking rate.
By looking at the stroking rate, we can see how the animal strategically conserves energy.
This software was developed for Dr. Terrie Williams at the University of California Santa Cruz.
